I think you mean to say all Indians like Sandy Shailesh there, why one have to be be aware of them ?? Be it both of the world wars, they have never been part of it. They are a very neutral country and that fact is even more visible through your blog. Having said that, we have to try to imbibe the good qualities - be it any other culture. We do show hospitality but as you said, there is always room for improvement. So lets learn and appreciate the good qualities of places that we visit- exactly by the way you are doing. The more we meet and are exposed to varied culture the more we learn.mahascientisthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02898225135288918109noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5749157527330884582.post-15349695828267696352010-01-28T20:27:38.840-08:002010-01-28T20:27:38.840-08:00Nice post specially about the experience you got i...Nice post specially about the experience you got in university.
Regarding behavior back home i agree with Samarth that depends upon personal happiness and motives so even in India sometimes we get people who help foreigners or anyone like anything, even we get good taxi/auto drivers too and about Australia or that kind of things do happen in everywhere.

But yes the engagement of people here is always a missing factor back here. That's only because there mostly people are doing something because they enjoy doing it or one can say they choose that job for them and here back home all is burden. Most of them doesn't have any other option other then doing it.Also a fact i would like add here is in Sweden 70% of jobs are created by entrepreneurs so the kind of ecosystem they have build is amazing.

But i really agree that we need to retrospect and change all these little little things which disturb our environment. I think here we are too much worry about too many trivial things.

But above all really amazing post. Hats of to you dude!!!
Enjoy Maadi !!!
Enjoy Felafal(i guess its some dish back thr :) )!!!Swap's Cafeteriahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05426956590075187459noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5749157527330884582.post-51601796016146200062010-01-28T19:36:00.808-08:002010-01-28T19:36:00.808-08:00I think this issue has more to do with our behavio...I think this issue has more to do with our behavior in general even with our domestic ppl and not specific the foreign national.

According to me the cause lies in the aim or reason the person doing a particular job is doing it.

For eg i am sure the lady who gave u direction in Sweden really felt happy doing it and helping u , but at the same time the official at indian airport might be taking his job a duty to be done, and thaking out his frustration on chinese guy.

..... also Sweden must surely be good , but dont forget whats going on in Australia ..... :)Samarthhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13914704418992797276noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5749157527330884582.post-4923006877422151772010-01-28T18:53:06.952-08:002010-01-28T18:53:06.952-08:00Well this was an eye opener i always thought that ...Well this was an eye opener i always thought that one think that India can take pride in was the human touch.
